Ode To The Brexit Campaigners

Quote

A Dead Statesman

I could not dig: I dared not rob,
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue,
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among,
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Learn From History

Standard

Hatred of migrants, nationalism and economic collapse were the spark that set Europe alight in 1939.  We must learn from history and not let it happen again.

Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

George Santayana
